I have added one more word to my list of words with the combination pch, this time in the middle of the word: opchedaiin - ofi8aun - οφιτων, gen. pl. of οφιτης - like a serpent. -

Could there be any reason for most of them to be exclusively the first words of paragraphs? I know pchdy does appear elsewhere and pchdeedy is in a circular text but ignoring the problem with the other vords that you list (and more generally, p and f gallows appearing mostly on first lines of paragraphs) does not inspire confidence. -

I don't have an answer as to why the P and F glyphs appear on the first lines of paragraphs, nor why certain words are found at the beginning of a paragraph.
On the other hand, I don't want this kind of particular arrangement of certain glyphs to block us in our desire to understand the text.
In my opinion, the answer will come when we can read, for example, an entire paragraph on any page -

If the glyphs k and t were lower than p and f I would have to say that the words with p and f are placed in the first line to save space. Unfortunately k and t are also high, but are on the other lines too. -

The words daiin and aiin are among the most frequent in the manuscript.
I propose to You are not allowed to view links. Register or Login to view. as separate words των and ων and as part of other words, ignoring some spaces.
What do you think? Is there a lot of daiin and aiin following the fairly short spaces? -

What I have learned from the VM text to date is that these two words are to be considered exactly as they are written, taking into account the dialect. -
