Ruby's Greek Thread

[Helmut Winkler]

I am thinking of putting up a blog or web site in the near future

I hope that this future will be near enough, so that I can get to know your results.

P.S. To start a blog it takes 15 min

It is not a question of the time you need to start a blog, it is more that I am not as cocksure of my results as some other people are of theirs

[Ruby Novacna]

...it is more that I am not as cocksure of my results...

Are you afraid of failure?

Perhaps you should consider that such signs were already used in old books.
See, for example, the NSA report.
The best thing, however, will be for you to read through the various comments here at Ninja.

Do you mean that those signs were known when the ms was written? Even if it is the case it doesnt mean than they were used with the same meaning, they could be used to decive the readers.
I have read the various comments here at Ninja, any idea can serve as inspiration for another idea.

No, I have been thinking about these possibile solution for years, as a matter of fact since I have seen the ms. the first time and I would not talk about it all if I was not reasonably sure that there is something in it, but there are possibilities to be tried out, which takes time and I mean this in s literal sense

In my opinion aiin is a unique glyph, the latin m written in a flourish way on its starting and end

Have you tried to understand a few words?

My hypothesis is that the text is a code of glyph/ghyphs to letter, a letter can be a single ghyp, a bigram or a 3-gram.
Before trying to understand words I try to understand how the code was built.

I don't keep a blog either.
Too much work and I'm also lazy about writing.
On top of that, I've already written for a few websites. They have been deleted or are internet corpses.

But that doesn't mean I don't have anything on the net. Mostly I need it to link something. For example, at Nick's, when I want to show pictures but not upload them.
Anyone can look there. But it's not a discussion site, so posts are deleted. There are exceptions.
It is not complete and up to date. Post only if needed or published elsewhere.

People are welcome to have a look.

I agree with you that time is not elastic.
For 10 years I have been publishing my thoughts and I never delete my old publications, even when I change my views.
If my proposals are correct, that's fine, if they are proven to be wrong, that will allow others not to make the same mistakes.

I wish you much success and hope to read you soon.

With several investigators looking at "abbreviation" - "shorthand" aspects of VMs linguistics, which is probably better that pulling a dialect out of a hat, perhaps there is an opportunity for progress.

There needs to be a common focus on a few specific segments from the text. If each interested investigator has two or three potential candidates, let there be a selection process, so that only a few specified text segments are being investigated in common - publicly - by all interested researchers. It could then depend upon the interplay between them as to whether discoveries are found.

The idea is interesting, but the translation fans must agree to discuss the same subjects.
