These glyph variations are so simple and beautiful, when you understand what the page is doing then the variations become clear 

Today's realisation, the roots don't depict the head of a human, they depict the heart, the fake plants show the torso of a human, you must rotate the page because some show the phases of treatment. Only the torso is important for reproductive things, head/legs/feet irrelevant, at least till f57 anyway the other plants after this point I'll have to check. I've nearly finished You are not allowed to view links. Register or Login to view. but I've been checking other folios too. The colours are very important and whether they are vibrant or faded too, nothing in this book is by accident or error. The root shows the heart and the stems/leaves/heads show the human Visceral anatomy, internal organs and blood supply.

F2r is also finished, what I thought was direct the blood left in previous post was actually stop extraction, turn the tap off type of thing :-) I'm aiming for one page translated a day but we'll see! Christine, why did you choose caper for this page? 
What do you object to in the old identifications? 
Besides, you never cite them, if I'm not mistaken?

I chose caper because it matches what is drawn, the real plants had to be easily identified: single large round leaf, white flower with prominent stamens, green calyx, tangled roots. No water anywhere.


The "old identifications" assume the manuscript is a language, which it isn't - it's symbolic. Who am I supposed to cite?
They are identifying plants that don't actually exist!
Caper fits because they were everywhere, eaten constantly, and famous for sexual properties. It's obvious. bit like the entire book but everybody was trying to read it, should of just looked at it and counted the symbols.
