Register or Login to view.Hi Onix,my source was the .pdf of the manuscript visually identifing and counting out the read charachters using the stars. a red star means drop the character, the stars between are the characters you keep. the 103 transcription is the star color sequence(top to bottom) front and back. the mask isn't a physical object but a visual "Rythm" you would use to read the book. so far ive been using a per character basis, repeating along pages until it "fails" as i believe each "pattern" corresponds to different sections of the book depending on the complexity of information stored.
I am testing community theories using a mathematical engine I've developed and I'm keen to understand more about your theory in order to be able to independently verify it:
Transcription
- Which transcription did you use? (e.g. voynich.nu, hand copy, another source)
- Which variant per line? (U, H, F, etc. in voynich.nu interlinear)
- How did you treat uncertainty markers? (!, *, ?) — keep, remove, or interpret differently?
- What is the exact first line of You are not allowed to view links. Register or Login to view. you used? (character-for-character)
Star sequence
- How did you derive the f103 sequence? (r,w,w,r,w,r,w,w,r,w,w,r,w,r,w,w,r,w,w)
- What counts as red vs white? (e.g. faded yellow, dots in center, tails)
- Is the sequence for You are not allowed to view links. Register or Login to view. only, or f103r+f103v combined? If combined, in what order?
- Can you provide the same sequence for You are not allowed to view links. Register or Login to view. and f104r/v? (for pages 5+)
Alignment
- How does the mask align to the text? Per character, per word, per paragraph, or something else?
- Does the mask repeat? If so, over what unit (line, paragraph, full page)?
- What is the exact character sequence you apply the mask to? (e.g. dots and spaces kept or removed, line breaks, etc.)
Output
- What exactly is the “first line” of f103 output? (first paragraph, first visual line, first N characters?)
- How did you get C U R R I O S I C C A from that line? (step-by-step: input string → mask → output)
- Did you use any EVA→Latin mapping? If so, which one?
Verification
- Can you run your process on a few lines and record: input line, mask, and output? (so I can match it exactly)
- Did you work from manuscript images or from transcriptions? If images, which ones?
