A group of Czech scientists announced in 2022 that they had deciphered the Voynich manuscript. The manuscript was written in a phonetic encrypted alphabet in the modified Old Latin that was taught in Italian universities. Graduates from Italian universities (Padua, Bologna) also worked as masters at the University of Prague, where early Latin (Prisca Latinitas, also referred to as Latin of the pre-literary period) became part of Latin teaching. The manuscript contains 20 chapters that include chronicles, philosophical musings, healing advice, and gardening experiences, among others. Illustrations of plants in the manuscript represent allegories, mental maps and diagrams also hide various quirks. The first entry in the manuscript was made in 1408, and the last 1445 main authors were Czech church reformists from the beginning of the 15th century. Czech thinkers encrypted the manuscript because of their persecution by the Catholic Church, which labeled them as heretics, and three of them ended up being burned at the stake. Czech researchers have presented a set of facts and translations confirming the correctness of the decipherment of the Voynich manuscript, and they regularly update their website with new translations. I am interested in all translations, unfortunately I found the presentation too long, I did not find how to navigate between the different chapters, I had the impression that it was a never ending text.
I did see a small piece of transcription that I couldn't reproduce, although there are transcriptions of the manuscript in Latin alphabet.
I also saw a few sentences translated directly into Czech without going through the transcription, unless, of course, my aromatic translator skips the important parts of the message.
In conclusion I would say that this translation is not in its final stage, at most a preliminary stage.
P.S. I am only interested in the text, I have no opinion about historical periods and characters -

It is a prime example of how not to do it.
A one-to-one translation and from a few words to the rest of the text.
Here it is Czech, yesterday it was Hebrew, tomorrow it will be Arabic. No matter what language, as I said, individual words are useless if you can't explain the system.
Then follows a lot of blah blah... Excerpts from history just to justify it and put on a certain emphasis.
Calling symbols on page 1 a funeral pyre. That was the end of it for me.
But the conclusion that the book must be returned to the Czech Republic because it comes from there is the last straw. -

The equivalence of 1-3 letters (similar to EVA letters with confusion of e, c, h) to a plaintext word is a compression; it goes in the wrong direction relative to entropy and word length. The process is like pulling a large rabbit out of a small hat.
Sure, it can be done, but does the result look credible when the same words are repeated on nearly each line, often several times? The ungrammatical word salad is then interpreted and still makes little sense. -

Pretending that the result of the "breakdown" is archaic Latin, that "Italian linguists" misunderstand completely, is more like the dead parrot sketch. -
