Where do you think I should have raised my point? What does one typically do, raise a point somewhere else and provide a link to the post that that point refers to? I suppose I can also include a link in the original thread to a post where that point is addressed. What is the standard procedure?

If you think there is a serious issue that needs to be addressed but is irrelevant to the topic, just make a new thread in the subforum that feels most appropriate.

Hi Mark,
Yep, whenever you want to diverge considerably from the thread's subject, just create a new thread in the appropriate subforum (use search to check whether no appropriate thread does already exist), and feel free to include a link to the original thread whence the branch of talk derives from. |
