Seriously though, I think Kircher wasn't that bad. I guess he was a dreamer and not the greatest empiricist, but when it comes to information processing and redistribution he had a huge impact in various fields, I believe. Sort of a knowledge hub, trying to reconcile all kinds of ideas. I think he'd be Neil deGrasse Tyson kind of person these days. -
