Some of the clear weaknesses in the logic are exposed, but one argument that I have a problem with is the writing direction left-right vs. right-left. For me, this cannot be an argument.

If anyone encoded a text that he could read and understand, from a writing system that would normally run right to left, but his own writing system would be left to right, then I think it would be a completely acceptable hypothesis that he adopted his own writing direction.

Even if that hypothesis has a probability of only 50% of being true, the argument disappears.

Agreed. Any text can be written in either direction and still be read by someone who is familiar with the language.

And also to assume that the mother tongue is possibly set exactly opposite.
How many mistakes do you think would creep in?
If I take into account that there are several people in the game, and all should do the same.
