Interesting article in Russian: You are not allowed to view links. Register or Login to view.. It claims that VMS may be a copy of an Old Aramaic book.

That article is quite funny.

"f.72v2 – sisters (19 people), inner circle – 12 people; there is only one sister in the barrel (elder?); in the center is the abbess of the monastery with a beret (Pagana?) on head. Her name is written, not in the language of the main text of the book (in Arabic?)."
   

I think they'll find that's the month of september, not an arabic name.
