Could you give some sources confirming that in Islamic eschatology at the final era before Judgement Day women will outnumber men? And what will happen to the men?

And how do you explain Islamic inspirations in Voynich Manuscript? Voynich Manuscript shows in its pictures a lot of European inspirations, especially Italian and German ones. Unlike in modern Germany, there were not many Muslims in 1400s Germany.

Also Muslims (although not all) were generally forbidden to make images of people.

So who could be the author, mixing so freely European and Islamic tropes?

Edit: It looks there is some tradition about women outnumbering men:

Abu Musa reported: The Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, said, “A time will come to people when a man will go around with gold to give in charity,
but he will find no one to accept it, and a single man will be seen followed by forty women seeking refuge with him, due to the scarcity of men and abundance of women.”

So according to it there will be a lot of women but they hardly have power and status  Wink
Or it there more about it?

Thank you for the reference to the Hadith regarding the ratio of women to men. It’s a fascinating eschatological point. However, my main inquiry focuses on the cultural synthesis found in the Voynich Manuscript itself.
While standard Islamic practice often avoided human imagery, the Ilkhanid and Timurid periods (Persian influence) produced many manuscripts with human figures. Furthermore, the 14th and 15th centuries saw a massive transfer of Arabic scientific knowledge into Europe through Spain (Al-Andalus) and Sicily.
My question is: Could the author be a 'Mozarab' or a European scholar living in a frontier region like Southern Italy or Spain, where Islamic botanical and astronomical traditions were being 'Europeanized'? The presence of 'Nymphs' (women) in the baths could be a distorted European interpretation of the Islamic 'Hammam' (bath-house) culture, which was unknown to most Germans at the time. What do you think about this hybrid origin?"
