There's no problem with writing Latinized Hebrew. It can be done. But Rebekah's text isn't the Hebrew language (regardless of whether it is Latinized). All she's doing is reading the VMS glyphs as Latin equivalents and assuming or hoping it somehow translates into Hebrew words (which I do not see happening using his/her system).
