Although I have an idea of what Voynich is and don't believe in a linguistic solution, I'm willing to change my mind if I see a convincing theory. Actually we only learn something with an open mind.
But what I resist to believe is that there is a classic language like Greek, Latin or Hebrew behind the VMS. And not because I know a lot of those languages but because I have an infinite respect to all cultivated people around the Rudolf II court. Due to the interest of the emperor in the Voynich many languages experts from all over Europe had to try to decipher it.
They were closer to the time of the VMS than we are and therefore they were better able to understand it...and they didn't understand it. This is something that is forgotten but it is a fundamental fact.
