If it is an experiment, he crossed various ethical lines in my opinion. He was writing crappy VM papers before the Romance studies publication. For those, he built a website to be able to pretend that the paper had been published somewhere. He then sent out the paper to about anyone involved in Voynich studies. When offered constructive criticism, his replies were very insulting.

So I think even if he decided to recycle his Voynich experiences into a social experiment, he wouldn't be able to publish about it because it is so full of questionable decisions and missteps (remember when it was found out that he was defending himself under a fake name on Nick's site). I'm pretty sure it's a genuine case of Champollion delusion.

Wow. This is a great example of how fake news works. Pop science is a lot like pop music — being heard has much to do with being connected to the right people, and little to do with being good.
You know, this is why I try to write critiques and post them as quickly as I can. I don't know if it does any good, but garbage spreads like wildfire on the Web, with no critical review, and so there HAS to be a voice out there saying, no, please look at it again, it's not what it seems, here is another viewpoint.
It has no value to me. He's a writer. He needs attention.
There's another writer who's tried Morse code.
It seems to be just an occupational disease.
