That domes were built a little outside the Voynich radiocarbon date, but all that date gives us is an earliest date, not a latest date. By 1480, that view would be normal...
As anything with the VMS, there are many clues, but no smoking gun. This I believe is another instance of that same curse.
Many things look familiar, but in the end, lead to no man's land.
Maybe Mr. Stolfi will change our minds. -

The two most prominent sheep have their wool curls as 'c' shapes, regardless whether they are facing left or right...
In any case, this is indeed a highly interesting MS. There are so many parallels. On the other hand, to my eye, the handwriting is not very similar to that of the Voynich MS cleartext / marginalia. -

I haven't had much time these last days to look into this properly, but here's a potential lead:
The first Bavarian MS with swallowtail merlons we found was UBK 2° Ms. theol. 4, a 1385 Weltchronik. You are not allowed to view links. Register or Login to view.

I don't remember if this was something we researched, or an educated guess.
The current MS BSB Cgm 250 was owned by the Franciscan monastery in Munich, not that far from Augsburg. It is also a Weltchronik, with at first glance overlapping imagery. This has potential for an investigation into the genre.
