Since I have already written about almost each item, I would take my comments as the basis. Did I really miss something important? Point it out, maybe even mark your comment in red or something. Like that we can find out right away where the difficult points lie, and which items we may have to discuss in depth on the forum.
The alternative will be to hop between tabs and kind of see where there is disagreement. I honestly don't think this will happen.
Okay so I am working on an additional improvement to the workbook. But it will take awhile to finish this one because I don't think there is a quick way in Google Sheets to make it happen. Probably wouldn't be in Excel either. Because the data has to pull from multiple sheets and concatenate some of the data, I don't think a pivot table will work. So yet again, I find myself relying on formulas instead but ones which won't autofill across columns because I'm going from rows to columns. I run into this sort of problem a lot while working in Excel. While I am working on this, take a look at what I am doing and (a) let me know if this will help the process and (b) if you have a quicker and/or better solution.
You will now see that there is a new sheet called Comments Comparison that appears after the wish list and before the individual comments sheets. This new sheet will give everyone a way to view all participant comments for each match number together in one sheet. Once I'm done creating the new sheet, virtually all cells within it will contain formulas that will auto update as their source cells do so please do not edit in this sheet. Instead, add your comments to your individual comments sheet. I have not made any other changes at this time but I do still need to add in the rest of the Folio Browser links for the new matches Rene added.
Once again, I caution all participants to allow all other participants to see their original comments before making changes to either ratings in the ratings sheet or comments in the individual comments sheets so we are able to fully assess valuable insights first. -

It is possible to protect certain ranges, would that help? I'm not sure if everyone can do that or only me as the owner of the file. -

Yes but we may need to run some further tests on it.
I went ahead and locked the Comments Comparison sheet just now. I was able to set the permissions so that only you, as the workbook owner, and I can edit the spreadsheet or remove the protection. Then I tested if I could update a comment in my comments sheet and still have the Comments Comparison update and it did. Then I tested if I could continue adding formulas in the Comments Comparison and I could. All good so far. You should be able to do the same.
But we will need one of the other participants to try performing the same tests. If that person is (a) unable to directly edit any cells in the Comments Comparison and (b) able to add comments in their individual comments sheet and still have the Comments Comparison auto update, then protecting the sheet will work as a solution. -

I cannot edit "Comments Comparison". A comment I added to "RZ" appeared in "Comments Comparison" successfully. -

Hi Ruby
It seems like you and I are particularly interested in the text. Maybe we can collaborate in entering the label text(As EVA and/or as an image) into the main spreadsheet or a separate spreadsheet. I understand it is tedious task, but if we share it then we can reduce it in size for each of us. -

Mark, I'm not lacking the will to participate, but unfortunately the physical ability to do so is lacking at the moment. I'm watching the progress of your project with great interest, hoping to do more in a few months' time. -

Hope you didn't think any of us were ignoring these suggestions. I know I just haven't made it that far yet. Like Mars in retrograde at the moment.
The best way to make sure no suggestions get lost in the shuffle here in this thread is to also add them to the wish list tab in the workbook. I check that tab every time I go into the workbook but so far no one is using the wish list. Only my example entries are in there (note to self to update those rows too).
Also, if Mark can lay the groundwork for the label/text column as an example and point me in the direction of whatever EVA sources I would need, I would be happy to help with that update. I always look for times when no one else is in the workbook and work on improvements and updates then. That has worked well so far for me to avoid tripping over others' work so it should work for this too. I haven't really delved into the linguistics/cryptography aspects of the VM before though so it might be a good idea for Mark to check the first few updates I complete just to be sure I'm on the right track. Just let me know. -

These label transliterations can be taken from any of the existing transliteration files. If there is going to be a discussion about this, I guess this might deserve its own thread, as it is quite independent of the effort of matching plant drawings. -

Since I no longer have a copy of this transcription, I have not been able to check any of it. The list I reconstructed had 31 entries, and the ones that were already included in Mark's list (both items being the same) have been skipped.
I also added my own list, originally of 30 entries, and in this I skipped the ones already covered by Th.Petersen or by Mark. I remember that at the time I also included some doubtful cases, and I noted that I would not all let them pass now.
There are quite a few cases where we come up with different matches for the same item (in either direction), and there is one notorious item on f100v, row 2, position 5, where all three come up with a different match. I would not exclude that this could be the result of a mistake/typo somewhere.
I had trouble adding the Folio Browser links for a few of the new matches added. Can you check the positions noted below and correct them in the ratings sheet, if needed? And the Folio Browser identifies You are not allowed to view links. Register or Login to view. as 2 folios, f101r1 and f101r2, though in the same image. Same question for You are not allowed to view links. Register or Login to view. but with this one, f101v1 and f101v2 are separate images as well and I need to know which one to use. I could make a guess but the small plants can be so subjective, I would rather not.

Indeed, folio 101 (both sides) is a bit of a matter of opinion. Each side has one single design, running over the fold.
So, rather than calling them f101r1 and r2, v2 and v1, I prefer to call them You are not allowed to view links. Register or Login to view. and f101v.
The recto side is one image, both in the old and new scans, but the verso side is split into two images in both cases.
Note that f101v2 is to the left of f101v1.

These numbers are slight variations of Theodore Petersen's numbering of these items, where the variation only consists of dropping the 'b' he used in some cases. (The ones with 'a' are always referring to the containers).
I intend to modify these pages at my site in the next days, in order to have the literal reference of Petersen, to make things a bit more consistent.
