Sorry for not being up-to-date with this theory (it's not my cup of 茶), @Stolfi have you explored the possibility of an encrypted East Asian language transliteration (using ≤15th century cryptography)? A simple method for starters, like randymly subsititxting a letter or fwo, or ppadding pwoprds?
