We do not know how this word is read, and purely by EVA, one can't judge any "similarity" with Greek.
The same approach is followed by pseudo-solvers who translate words from EVA into their desired language. I call it the "EVA trap".
Is there a law that forbids seeing similarities between Voynich's text and Greek?
I'll quote Wikipedia regarding Pontic Greek, for exemple: "Pontic, in Greece, is written in the Greek alphabet, with diacritics; in Turkey, is written in the Latin alphabet following Turkish conventions; in Russia, it is written in the Cyrillic alphabet."
Of course, we don't know for sure how Voynich's words should be read, but we can always make suggestions, can't we?
Several people have suggested languages of their choice, that's well known, but so far no one has managed to read the entire text.
So, trap or not, I'll continue to follow my intuition in my free time.
