There needs to be a common focus on a few specific segments from the text. If each interested investigator has two or three potential candidates, let there be a selection process, so that only a few specified text segments are being investigated in common - publicly - by all interested researchers. It could then depend upon the interplay between them as to whether discoveries are found.
