Take a closer look (Gaisz’). There’s an apostrophe at the end.[..]

Sorry, this looks even more like „H“ as first letter:
„Heiß‘ mich mit Deinen Anserwählten zieh‘n!“ —> Heiße mich mit Deinen Auserwählten ziehen!“ =
„Order me to leave with your chosen ones!“

„Anserwählten“ looks like a real typo to me, the U was set upside down. Or it is quite some outdated word.

Take a closer look (Gaisz’). There’s an apostrophe at the end. This refers to a scourge (whip). Geissel.

Sorry if it wasn't clear, I meant that the blue highlight was "ß", the yellow is "z" (< to the left > to the right). Admittedly I did miss the apostrophe on this example, it just happened to be the easiest example of why the origional example looks like ß and not z to me.

If you check the link I posted - You are not allowed to view links. Register or Login to view. there's pages of examples without ', I just happened to snip one that does have it Big Grin

Here, ‘geysselt’ means ‘whipped’.
The other one means, ‘punish me if I’m lying’. ‘Call me a liar’ "gasz mich lügen heissen"
Poorly written
