Hi Everyone, as I was doing work on my next post, I found out about a VERY VERY important development that has come up. David Landino on Facebook has found a page he is asking others for its source. There is no question in my mind that it is using the Voynich "alphabet" (both the 8, the double cc with and without macron, even the gallows!!!). I request from you try to help him and us find where it is from. I am currently doing that myself. It seems he accidentally found it doing an image search in google. I am doing the same in reverse.
The page he is reporting it is You are not allowed to view links.

I am particularly in favor of Monika Pal-Stumpp's evaluation so far (on the same FB page), and am posting it in this thread for a reason, as a new part of the elephant has been seen!

This looks like an AI generated image. A lot of strokes that come out of nowhere and don't follow any visual logic. Is there any reason to believe this is something genuine?

Hi,
Seriously? It's obviously AI-generated.
Rod Kinnison made a very similar page with Google's Nano Banana. You are not allowed to view links.

Well, I am not yet convinced, unfortunately. I saw on that FB page what Rod Kinnison did; he just pasted the same thing somewhere and made a different page image of it. That seems more like an odd way of going about proving it as fake. I am surprised at your finding his fake proving to be valid! Are you serious! Not convincing to me. I am not in any position of judging it as being authentic or not, and if it is fake, so be it. I just wanted help from all to find out, and so far, it does not seem like a fake to me. Unfortunately Ladino's directions about reproducing his google image search finding is not working and that seems odd.

Here's another. I can generate 100 more if needed, will take maybe a couple of hours. I think nowadays the burden of proof is certainly on the party claiming an image or video is genuine. Unless someone can provide a strong argument that the image is authentic, it can be presumed fake.

Wow, it's even better than the original

I agree, it's too similar to be honest.
Anyway, the horrible way this image is put together from bits and pieces of the VMS is an obvious AI job, believe it or not.

Yes, the one you faked is fake, because you created it as fake, and I am sure you can make not just hundreds but thousands of them. I will not assume Landino's claim is fake, unless he admits it as being so, or proven for that specific page that it is fake, or that he has inadvertently found a faked image. Nobody is denying that you can make fake things with AI, or even without it, these days. Your effort is not convincing me, yet. Sorry. You are entitled to your opinion.

The image in this facebook link is not just very similar, it is the same, but appears stretched out.
(Of course, it is not certain that what I see in the facebook link is the same as what was there yesterday).

I'm not sure what proof you need, but I've been looking at VMS text for 15+ years, and others who have commented probably similar. I can tell you this is AI generated garbage that is NOTHING like VMS text, after looking for 0.1s. Its not even like some Rolex guy spotting a fake, its like a Rolex guy being shown a potato with a drawing of a watch on it and being asked if its a Rolex.
