  Hi again everyone,
  
  Wanted to share something we’ve been digging into lately. We’re looking at the Voynich as a mechanical system, and it’s starting to look less like a book and more like a set of mechanic telemetry logs.
  
  We are working based in the formula R = Z^3/m that explains the combinations through friction and torque instead of grammar.
  
  I’m curious about something. If we start from scratch, what would a "solution" actually look like to you? What kind of evidence would you need to see for yourselves to feel like the mystery is finally over? Are you expecting a hidden message or just a solid explanation of the text? Let me know what you think pleaae   D

  Personally, I would like to see explanation from the text.  I don't expect a major hidden message.  I expect (hope!) You are not allowed to view links. Register or Login to view. is some kind of introduction.  It would be wonderful (and truly amazing) if it translates to something like, "Hello, I am __________ and I am writing this manuscript about ___________ for the people of __________."
  
  I have been fascinated by herbs and books about herbs since I was a young child (first herb garden at about age 8) so I would really like to know the actual names of the plants and what they thought the plants were good for.
  
  I'd really like to know what f67v2 is about.  Those weird faces in the corners have been driving me nuts for years.

  When it comes to the actual names of plants, you'll have a very difficult time around 1400.
  Take chamomile, for example. Everyone is familiar with it.
  Examples by region, and only in German.
  If I add other possibilities, such as Italian, French, and others, it's impossible without any clues.

  I would welcome both of them if done properly.
  
  1) If there is language meaning in the text give us the meaning and encoding algorithm.
  
  2) If the "text" actually describes some step or procedures or is a numeric data also share it with us

  Just don't talk about grammar of the word - prefix+core+suffix. We all know that stuff. It doesn't prove anything. 
  Yes, you can generate many Voynich words with rotating wheels. But you can generate these words without wheels as well. 
  
  If you however would be able to guess the next word based on previous word in let's say 50% of cases then it would be something.

  Okii, our hypothesis is based on the assumption that there is no language with meaning. For this, we rely on Jaccard's anomaly J = 0.0226.

  It’s a brass object with several discs that rotate over one another. Usually, people used them to track stars, but in our theory, the author adapted it for something else: to trace and measure objects (like plants or pharmacy jars) and turn those shapes into data (''Voynich text'').
  
  Imagine you have a mechanical arm (a pantograph) attached to these discs. As you follow the outline of a leaf with a pointer, the astrolabe's discs turn and move. What we call "words" in the manuscript are actually snapshots of how the discs were positioned at that exact moment. It’s not a sentence, it’s a "photo" of the machine's configuration.
  
  The logic behind the data: The formula R = Z^3/m
  
  To make the numbers match, we apply a very basic physical rule that explains why the text looks like it has "grammar" (prefixes, roots, and suffixes), when it’s actually just machine settings:
  
  Z (Arm extension): This is the suffix of the word. The longer the stroke the author makes, the more the machine's spring stretches. Because it is cubed Z^3, it means that if you stretch the arm twice as far, the tension increases significantly more.
  
  m (Pressure or "brake"): This is the prefix, the Gallows. To keep the arm from wobbling during long strokes, the author "hits the brakes" or applies pressure. The more pressure (m), the more stable the movement.
  
  R (Final Resistance): This is the result. It’s the total force the author felt in their hand while drawing.
  
  How does this apply to the text? Every time you read a word like qokedy, you aren't reading a name. You are reading a telemetry instruction:
  

  • qo (Pressure): Set the brake to medium mode.
    
  • ke (Direction): Turn the disc to 90 degrees.
    
  • dy (Extension): Stretch the arm 4 centimeters.
    

  
  The text describes, step by step, the physical movements needed to reconstruct the plants and drawings you see on the pages. It is a record of movement, not of thought.

  I would genuinely love to see some drawings made with this method, even if they are just scribbles.

  People do not want to feel that they are debating with a chatbot when they respond to you.  If we wanted to do that, we could just start up ChatGPT and cut out the middleman.  
  
  And if you're not being open about using a chatbot for writing your posts, that makes me concerned that the chatbot is actually involved in your work itself, which is against our rules.
