Another reason why I think ‘anchiton’ is a name. An example of a curse tablet.
I can imagine it might have been transcribed incorrectly.
But I’ve no idea what the words on the tablet mean either.

My faithful lalamo claims that "Panteon" and "Anephaton" are common words in Roman curse formulas. "Panteon" would come from Greek "pantheon" meaning "all the gods", and "anephaton" would be a "magical secret name" of God, likewise derived from the Greek "anephatos" meaning "unspeakable".  

But it may be hallucinating, of course.  (I accidentally typed "failthful" instead of "faithful" above.  My fingers must have been trying to warn me...)

By the way, I think the rest is normal Latin (though weird phrases). But these are long phrases with a single cross in the beginning and one at the end. As the crosses become more intense, we get to the pseudo-Latin max pax fax.

Ah yes, the Catholic practice of cannabilism.. where due to the peculiar nature of transubstantiation, the wafer literally becomes the body of Christ, and the wine his blood...  Never stand in the way of a hungry Catholic at Sunday Mass ..

The same manuscript has a square charm diagram with more crosses and, I believe, more pseudo-Latin, including something in the broad "anchiton" class.
