Can music uncover the text?
#11
I just ran across this old page: You are not allowed to view links. Register or Login to view., written in 2009, which has a whole page of his thoughts on the VMs. Under the section on word structure midway down the page, James writes:

Quote:Another small clue may lie in the use of the o and e shapes as found in musical notation of the Medieval period:

Rhythmic mode
o
circle
perfect, triplet, 3s
e
semicircle
imperfect, duplet, 2s

This might then leave i to represent (quite naturally) a level of singletons. It is important to note that i and e are the only glyphs to appear (overwhelmingly) in neither initial nor final position.
