RE: Upcoming VMS lecture in NYC

I have had the fortune (I thought) of being asked by the media to talk about the Voynich MS on multiple occasions. For the first 4-5 times this was exciting, but after that I began to realise that they would make anything of what had been recorded. They would just cut out very small things out of context.
On every single occasion I asked to review what they would publish, and on each of these occasion they said that they would let me, but this never ever happened. They did not even report back when or where the piece was published.
The very notable exception was the Austrian TV documentary, for which work started in 2007 and which was published in December 2009. This was a great collaborative activity from beginning to end.
I have refused interviews for years, but eventually accepted again when it seemed more serious. Not long ago, I was asked for a radio programme about the life of ELV. The organisation was quite cumbersome and took several iterations and the rental of a studio near where I work.
After that: complete silence from the producer. I don't even know if the programme ever aired.
My respect for programme makers has changed for the worse. Their aims are not what we regular people think they are.
The programme Terra-X that I saw last Sunday may be highly successful in Germany, but it was a grave disappointment for me, and I think for all who know more about the MS, and about the other interesting topics that were addressed. The only thing I can recommend them for is that they managed to talk to the right people.
They captured the words of Lisa Fagin Davis saying that "there are some people who like to see the work of Nostradamus in this" (approximately), and used it as the transition to the next segment.
They mentioned that Nostradamus knew Rudolf II to stress the relation....
