What other book, which is supposed to contain such great knowledge, was recorded in this way?
The Picatrix manuscript is written in pure Arabic and has been translated into European languages.
As far as I know, magical alphabets like Malachim were used to write down certain magical texts. But not languages and other ways of writing text.
By the way, regarding the encryption of the book... The author could have found someone who knew Ge’ez, and had the Book of Enoch translated into a European language (which would be easier to read). The encrypted text is in a European language, not in Ge’ez.
Overall, the author could have done this purely for his own sake, considering the Book of Enoch to be important.
