Just so you know, I’m from the Czech Republic, and I’m interested in the Voynich manuscript.
What are your thoughts on my interpretations of the words on the illustration at the top of page You are not allowed to view links. Register or Login to view. ?
Air: olkchs → lkchs → rkchs → ?? "rauch" (wind)
Water: otedy → tedy → veda → ? "voda" or "vodou" (water)
Aether: otork → tork → vo?k → ?? "vrch" (the upper atmosphere)
Fire: otol → tol → vor / var → ? "var" (fire, heat)
Earth (Land): dchdy → dchda → ?? "deža" (earth, clay)
wind - vítr(modern Czech), (rauch is German fo smoke), vietr in Old Czech
water - voda (modern Czech), voda in Old Czech
Aether - nebe (modern Czech, povětřie Old Czech
Fire - oheň, var means to boil (modern Czech), var (Old Czech), oheň (Old Czech)
Earth - země (modern Czech), země (Old Czech), deža In Old Czech, *deža* (or *díž*) is a vessel used for letting bread dough rise.
don’t see this as a direct translation from Old Czech. Rather, I am inclined toward some form of transformation from Old Church Slavonic for this Folio.
