How large is large enough for you?
"Large enough" would be changes that cannot be explained by a mere change of topic etc or a "spelling reform".  Wich we do not see  in the VMS.  Even the switch from Language A to Language B You are not allowed to view links. Register or Login to view., so that if we reduce each word to its skeleton the word frequencies are largely the same.

If someone tries to write random nonsense text without a well-defined method and without using some mechanical randomness generator, he would probably be unable to maintain the same word and digraph frequencies over 50-100 pages -- even in the weak sense of preserving some "skeleton" of the words. His first page may could be like this

irtsulli'lg am ailgattab ni ovoun id areihcs il e
e emlap id essem onnaf ognirra lat ni ehc inoipmac
ip eilgops elos el ehc olos onocsipar irolla'd
orol 'oc odnamaslabmi itnallirb e esozrafs
e itatnetop e ipicnerp ed eserpmi el irtsoihcni
oga'lloc odnatnopart e jgganosrep itacifilauq
ehc ates id e oro'd ilif i ongegni'lled omissinif...

but by page 50 he could be writing

...galhcs neseid fua nebe tremmuukeb nizidem eid mu
dnu mugel oiduts med ni tiehnerhafre niem nam nnak
ni leivos netfahcsnessiw dnu netsnuuk nredna nella
tkefrep os raw hci aj nehetsrev hcua dnis tlew red
rim ssuad tiehnessiwnu red ni nemmokllov dnu
sthcin rag os hci ssuad nessiw uz raw hcilguumnu
hci sad nebel selde o lamnie hcon egas hci etssuuw
ehclos hcim etllow nank niem reba eterhuuf slamad...

He could not possibly notice it, but the word, digraph, and character frequencies of these two texts are completely different, like those of Italian compared to those of German.  So this would be a "large enough" change that could be evidence of gbberish.

But we definitely don't see anything like that in the VMS.

All the best, --stolfi
