I think there is a video on YouTube with this idea that it is music.

This is the one I know (though it's a bit long). He decided it's a women's medical manual, encompassing singing and chanting. And he has another couple on the same channel where he gets a choir to sing from it...

Yes, that does seem to be the gaping hole in Dr Plioplys' theory. He went straight from deciding it's something to do with music, to some finished pieces for his choir to sing - with no real explanation of the process (as far as I can remember - I don't feel like spending another hour watching it again ). I really don't know if anyone else has developed similar ideas further, but I couldn't find anything after watching that one. Good luck - it'll be interesting to see where you might be able to go with it.
