"explains" the motion of the Sun by claiming that there are six "portals" beyond the West horizon, and the same number beyond the East horizon; and each day the Sun comes out of one of the East portals, and goes to one of the West portals, changing the pair gradually back and forth along the year.
I bet that this very crude description of the Sun's movement was one of the reasons why the Book was excluded from the Biblical canon, by both Jews an European Christians. Even before 100 BC, astronomy was already advanced enough to imply that "Enoch's" description be obviously and childishly wrong.

What I am trying to present here is the effort of the author VM to convert the Book of Enoch into a graphic form. For the Book of Watchers and the Book of Parables, he chose plants into which he drew individual parables. For the Astronomical Book, instead of text and tables, he chose a mechanical calculating and displaying machine. For the 2nd Book of Enoch, he used the form of naked nymphs. For the Apocalyptic Book, he used a recipe book form of representation. You are certainly right that Enoch's astronomy is surpassed by today's view, but some nations and religions still use this 360-day calendar with 4 special days and 13 months. To date, no one has dealt with this mechanics from the Voynich manuscript, or this is ignored. Please be patient, I am gradually working on it.
