Some of the sarcophagus archway images that I posted in the "pool nymphs" blog were also originally from Rome but... they traveled some considerable distance and would have been seen in a variety of places (possibly including Paris), so I didn't want to put too much trust that they were necessarily viewed at their origin, but it's interesting to see that there were also prone lambs at an early date in Rome.
