A structured token-based approach to recurring patterns in the Voynich manuscript
#1
Hello,

I would like to present a structured approach I have been working on regarding recurring patterns in the Voynich manuscript.

My focus is not on a full linguistic translation, but on identifying stable, high-frequency token clusters and analyzing their functional role within the text.

The method is based on a fixed mapping of recurring sequences, applied consistently without interpretative adjustments.

When applying this approach, the text begins to show repeatable procedural structures, often following patterns such as:

substance → process → transformation

I am fully aware that many approaches to the Voynich manuscript have failed or overreached.
For that reason, I am not presenting a solution, but a model that can be tested, challenged, and potentially falsified.

I would be interested in your perspective on:

- the stability of recurring glyph clusters
- whether such a reduction approach is methodologically sound
- and how you would evaluate reproducibility in this context

If there is interest, I can provide concrete examples and mappings.

Best regards
René

Well, give examples and mappings, then we'll be able to tell something...

Don’t rush him. Copying and pasting from the LLM platform takes time.

Danke für die Rückmeldung.

Ich versuche es an einem konkreten Beispiel, ohne Interpretation:

Original (EVA-Transkription):
[qokedy daiin shol]

Zuordnung (aktuelles Modell):
qokedy → thermische Behandlung / Abkochung
daiin → Extrakt / Wirkstoff
shol → Körperflüssigkeit / Blut

Ergebnis (strukturell gelesen):
„Abkochung eines Extrakts zur Behandlung der Körperflüssigkeit“

Mir ist wichtig zu sagen:
Das ist kein Beweis, sondern ein reproduzierbarer Versuch, wiederkehrende Einheiten funktional zu lesen.

Ich bin sehr interessiert daran, ob diese Zuordnung für euch konsistent wirkt – oder wo sie bricht.

By but a glance upon thy chosen name,
I see the mark of engines wrought by art—
A language forged in cold, mechanic flame,
Not born from unaided human heart.
Such craft is barred within this hallowed space,
Where thought must rise unprompted, pure, and free;
Thus must thy thread be stripped of pride of place,
Removed from sight for all the forum’s plea.
To “slop” consigned, where errant works reside,
A lesson rests for those who would ignore
The rules that here in quiet strength abide,
Unbent by clever tools or borrowed lore.
Let future words be thine, and thine alone—
Or else be cast again from forum’s throne.
