Not sure if it was mentioned anywhere, but JKP has at last published a new You are not allowed to view links. Register or Login to view..
I would love to see him back since his posts were essential source of knowledge for me when I got involved the VMS.

I've learned more from JKP than I can even start to list. Someone I'd love to meet at a conference someday. JKP's focus and intensity has dragged me down into Voynich-adjacent things like quill-tip behavior that I wasn't at all interested in. Youth is wasted on the young. I could have begun my self-education earlier.

I have my mail tool configured to automatically save all messages from the Voynich mailing list.  Which means I have 25 years of messages to catch up to...

There is a chunk of years for which the archives were lost -- if you have a complete collection of mailing list messages, that's big news. '91-'01 are at You are not allowed to view links. Register or Login to view. and '00 - '05 are available at You are not allowed to view links. Register or Login to view., but the post-'05 mailing list message archives apparently got lost somehow.

I have messages to "voynich@" and "vms-list@" from about July 1997 (when I joined the list) to July 2003  and from March 2004 to October 2023.  I don't know what happened to the messages between those two chunks; maybe they are in my backup server. 

Are some of those messages among the "missing years"?

Are there other "From" addresses I should search for, besides those two?

Did the mailing list close on October 2023?

The old mailing list was turned into a forum, so there should be no more E-mails from a certain time onward. Oct. 2023 might fit.

Right now they are in half a dozen separate text files, mostly in the Unix mail folder format.  If there is interest, I can extract the relevant parts into a single text file and mark the message boundaries (which are tricky because of multi-message digests, forwarded messages, and text lines that accidentally start with "From ").  Then people can use any text search tool like the browser's CTRL-F.
