Dear members of the community,
I would like to share with you a study I have recently published on Zenodo:
The Voynich Manuscript as an Evolutionary Code: A DNA-Inspired Statistical Model - You are not allowed to view links. Register or Login to view..
The central hypothesis is that the manuscript should not be read as a traditional text, but rather as a code built upon a hidden structure.
The method applies statistical tools inspired by genetics:
I am sharing this here because I believe this perspective may spark new reflections on the manuscript’s nature:

The central hypothesis is that the manuscript should not be read as a traditional text, but rather as a code built upon a hidden structure.
The method applies statistical tools inspired by genetics:
- Adjacency frequencies and χ² tests,
- Complexity measures (Lempel–Ziv),
- Sequence and run-length analysis,
- A page-by-page study to detect trends and evolutionary variations.
I am sharing this here because I believe this perspective may spark new reflections on the manuscript’s nature:
- Is it plausible that the Voynich follows internal rules similar to those of a code?
- How does this vision compare with the main hypotheses explored so far (language, cipher, pseudo-text)?
