If the text were meaningless, do you think the scribe would crowd the letters up against the plant as happens here?
f24r Why not just leave out the letters or tokens that don't fit? Or is this an unusual instance of the drawing being added after the text?  Member details

I think there are too many reasons to believe that the text of the Voynich is not completely meaningless. Though as I have stated elsewhere that does not mean that there is not some meaningless text intermixed with the meaningful text.
