Exactly so it has happened. The author of the cited document has made some confusion with the names and I have copied them. The good news is that now I have it right and will correct the name in the document.
It is neither sarsaparilla nor sassafras, but --> Aquilaria malaccensis

Forrai uses the prefix' Ábra', i could not be bothered to find out why, afaik no one uses that prefix,
and as the OP uses that prefix as a means to grasp onto the usage of sassafras / sarsaparilla in the recipe then
the sassafras / sarsaparilla ingredient of this recipe is suspect.

You could always post your short Latin paragraph and ask for help with the translation.

There is an explanation in Latin of "abra", which is used in foil 116v as a component of the subscription. It states:[attachment=8622]

ā is the abbreviation for "an" or "am". The macron is not optional, and it is missing on f116r.
".i." is the abbreviation for "id est" = "i. e."
"Hambar id est ambra."
No idea why the H but it may be a slightly defective transliteration of the Arabic or Persian word.

Although I am not convinced that it is the word "abra", I would like to add that the Lexicon of Hesychius gives two definitions:

ἄβρα = δούλη (bondwoman); παλλακή (concubine);
ἁβρά = τρυφερά (delicate, dainty), μαλακά (soft)
