Just stumbled onto this thread ... absolutely fantastic, really breathtaking. I'm blown away by how exactly "right" these creations feel.
I had the absolute pleasure of visiting Cary's studio today. Her work is even more splendid in person!

Thank you Lisa, it was wonderful to meet you!!

(I can't see the photo!)
I fixed the link for you. So much Voynich talent in one picture  Wink
Thank you, Koen, on all counts! I can't seem to figure out how to share pictures here...
Lately I've started making some porcelain sculptures of Voynich "pools"--this is the first stage, before the porcelain has been fired. Later they will be filled with green epoxy resin and porcelain nymphs.

This one is inspired by the pool at the bottom of f81r:

And this one is inspired by f75v:

(I had to make it in two halves because they are the maximum size that will fit in my kiln, but they will be connected together later. The walls in the center are just temporary supports; they will be removed later so it will become one long open pool.)
That last one especially looks really ambitious. Are you going to make all ten nymphs, and then a glass canopy over the whole thing?

That's my plan... it might take awhile Big Grin But I know how I will make the nymphs, though I haven't quite figured out how I'll design the glass part yet. I think the parts that connect to the top of the nymphs' heads would be hollow blown glass filled with lighted plasma. So the ten "wavy" lines would actually be like moving light that looks like it's coming down from above.

This is a porcelain sculpture I started that is inspired by cloud-bands, specifically those on the top left corner of f80v. This one will have a nymph too, that stands in the center.

The next step will be to sculpt the nymph that stands in the middle.
