Will there soon be a Voynich Wedding and the patter of little Vords?

The correct term is Vordlings.

What have I done?

Anyways, I did some more digging and it confirmed a suspicion I had: The trailer is actually from 2015:

Aside from that she uploaded a lot of guitar videos between february 2011 and the uploading of the voynich trailer. WIth the trailer she discontinued the account.
She started uploading videos to her new account more than two years later, in November 2017, which is also when she uploaded the trailer to the new account.

From what I can tell, she wanted to promote her documentary with it. Maybe she never finished it.
She shared the video on her twitter account on the same day (Feb 3, 2015) after suddently becoming silent in August 2012:

She also has myspace and facebook:

Her facebook has a strange structure, too. she created the page in 2013, posted basically nothing untill February 2015 (the time when she also also made the trailer), posted a lot of stuff that she's interested in (mostly Hebrew and Judaistic sciences, as well as Orthodox/Cathlic religious things that seem to be more personal).
Her blog confirms her interested in older jewish literature, as well as Sanskrit and Voynich (both of which do not appear on her facebook).
Her researchgate profile and academia profiles both refer to her blog that was set up in january 2019:

Her social network of choice appears to be pinterest, where she is very active (though I can't tell the exact time frame):

So to sum up: untill february 2015 she was a totally normal professional musician. Then she published a voynich video and left the internet. Then again 2 years later, she started all over again and posted music videos up untill recently and also reuplaoded the voynich trailer. Another 2 years later in 2019 she suddenly began promoting her voynich ideas again, including a crowdfunding page.
I guess it will be difficult to know what's going on until she surfaces again.

It feels like a book on the way, since she's not revealing anything in her abstracts and ads, and keeps saying the paper is 700 pages.

She's not advertising her academic credentials, so maybe she hasn't finished the dissertation.

Well, until we actually see something more concrete, I don't think we can call it a solution. Anyone can say they have solved it.
From the abstract: "My research results are absolutely successful"

Headbang

Quote:I don't know, but if all she is doing is advertising and not publishing anything at all, then they shouldn't be on ResearchGate or Academia.

As far as I can see it's posted as "preprint" at RG which is perfectly normal.

as a side note, kinda red flag is that one cannot see any past scientific publications by Ms Gladyseva mentioned on RG (journal articles, conference papers), so it's an open question what's her position as a scientist/RG member.
But she hasn't published a preprint. Here's the description of a preprint from ResearchGate:

"In general, a preprint is an author's own original or draft version of their paper before any peer review has taken place and before they publish it - sometimes in a peer-reviewed journal.
Adding your preprints gives you a great opportunity to start gaining visibility for your work early on and lets you get valuable feedback from your peers.
Many preprints are available, usually in the form of a .doc file with minimal formatting, before the published version is available. The published version is usually the final, formatted work that you find on a publisher's website. This is the version that most library databases link to. "

A preprint is a draft version of the paper without the final polish, or without peer review.

She hasn't published any paper, just a few teasers. They are simply ads.

There's a difference between having a preprint and being entitled to publish the full-text of the preprint. Often, the copyright is transferred directly to the publishing institution, and then the author is not free to publish the work on their own. What we have here is the abstract marked as "preprint" which I normally would interpret as it is - namely, as the abstract of the preprint. If there is an article behind that, we may expect it to be published soon. If there is none, well this is tomfoolery then. But I can't imagine why there would be none. Typically when one has a Voynich solution, the latter is published. It makes no sense to have a solution and not disclose it. That is not what Voynich solutions are developed for!

Considering she has a crowdfunding page, we might have a second Jutta Kellner here. Kellner also posted on a lot of Voynich articles and blogs to promote her solution, she also asks for funding and she never delivered, aside from teasers. She never explained her exact methods, as far as I know.

I made the mistake of reading the German version of Kellner's funding page... for some reason she brings her hate of Gender Studies into the mix Huh

This is a trope I've seen before in the communication of extreme right / alt-right groups: gender studies as the ultimate waste of money. It says a lot about a person's way of thinking if they feel the need to include statements like this.

A common thread through Cheshire, Gladyseva and Kellner is that they somehow believe money will come their way from somewhere for them to solve the VM. A strange conviction.

Register or Login to view.Monica, I don't know how Alisa has translated it yet, other than two words that appear to be abbreviated in different ways (which doesn't sound hopeful), so I don't have any opinions on her "solution" yet, but I agree that you are using a consistent repeatable approach. I was able to repeat your system to obtain most of the same "base" words you have in your translation. I say "base" words because there's still a lack of grammatical cohesiveness and a level of subjective interpretation in terms of "linking" the words, but your system is still MUCH more defendable than anything Cheshire has done.

Cheshire's method only works in a few spots and does not work on the manuscript as a whole and is more subjective in terms of word breaks and significantly more subjective in terms of word interpretation (he cherrypicks from whatever language suits his needs).

Thank you, I do agree they are 'base' or 'root' words and I make no claim to know the language other than some form of agglutinative Semitic. It is possible that it is not even a "language" but someones idea of a magical text.

An interesting assumption. But I can say that it is not at all simple to raise funding for Voynich Research. My friend, a Russian scientist employed at one of academic institutions in Moscow, recently tried to obtain a grant, but failed in that worthy undertaking.
I burst in tears. I am unsure if it is laughter or crying.
