At the end of the talk, I asked them their opinion on the Voynich Manuscript, since I knew they both had at least an interest in it. Lev explains how he'd plan to approach the problem. Then Benedek, who researched historic ciphers in the context of his interest in the Rohonc Codex, explains why he believes the VM is
not enciphered. We also talk about the Codex Seraphinianus and the question of meaning vs. meaninglessness. Note that this conversation was rather limited, since it came after the long Rohonc interview.
In the second part of the video, which I recorded today, I explain some of the terms not every viewer may be familiar with, like entropy, homophonic ciphers, polyalphabetic ciphers. I also demonstrate the effect of these cipher methods on entropy.
