  Maybe they changed the style of the number 4 to fit the illustration. We do see variations of numbers and letters in the VM

  You are right, we should read the "4" in the drawing as 5, it will be more harmonious

  You are right, the 4 with the oblique part not touching the vertical part did not exist back then, my mistake.

  That's not what I was trying to say, I thought the 4 was just written in a different style.

  Here is a quick search for visible symbols, letters, numbers hidden in the illustrations I noticed.
  
  Maybe they mean absolutely nothing or maybe they mean something, these are my observations.
  
  I am also going to prepare another file showing the symbols we cannot see and that I think are hidden behind the paint and within some patterns in the illustrations such as dotted areas and lines that can only be seen if I apply my theory of wetting the page. 
  
  The file with the roots are also my observations about some resembling symbols we see on the 2 folios I added above the roots file.

  Here are some more observations, I think there's something to look into here. There's more in the manuscript following this theory, here are just a few more. (funny thing, Codex Seraphinianus by Luigi Serafini has the same concept using illustrations as letters, I think he has some idea about decoding the Voynich) what do you think?
