Why Latin alphabet?
Any special interest or reason for it?
Use of Latin alphabet is covering only parts of 15th-century europe -- still assuming this is an european work and source language at all.
In VAM, the character forms found in the original texts are mapped to the widely used Latin alphabet so that they can be processed by computer. This does not imply that the language of the manuscripts is Latin.
