If formulated this way, I can only agree with it.
My intuition is that there were several scribes and they had distinct "styles" but they influenced each other. It may explain some "transition pages" which are a mix of styles.
It could work this way:
- First some general method of text creation was created. At this moment it doesn't matter if it was a cipher or a way of creating fake words.
- The method wasn't totally deterministic and gave a user some freedom how to use it. One of the rules could be "You can break all the rules but don't do it often"
- Then the Scribe 1 generated several pages using the method in his own way
- Then the Scribe 2 continued. He took the written pages by Scribe 1. In the first pages which he has written he used Scribe 1 work as an inspiration so these pages may contain traces of Scribe 1 style. But as Scribe 2 was writing more and more, he became more confident and his personal style was taking over.
Of course changes of subject could also matter if the text was meaningful.
