I see it as information that its reader(s) could use to recreate the information, on paper, to sell to others perhaps, that they didn't otherwise want anyone to have access to, the main copy of the information is thus protected from getting into the wrong hands. Like a built in copyright system.

It turns out that this is a cipher? When I want to hide information, I encrypt it. If I have written something in the language of another author, then it is enough for another person to speak that language. Otherwise, no matter how much he wants to, even if he knows how to read it, he won't understand what's in front of him.
