Let me just say that, by my estimate, there are still about 3000 word breaks that were completely omitted either by the Scribe or by the transcriber [me].

I take that back.  Bad reasoning. There must be many missing spaces and bogus spaces in the transcription file; but probably a lot less than 3000.
