I'm still trying to figure out the baskets.  I think the baskets have significance.

On the opposite page we also have Scorpio as a 6 legged crocodile..

Then flicking through, there are a lot of diagrams that look proto Voynich... Bearing in mind this is 14th century, I do wonder if a later copy might be part of the inspiration...
