I once wrote about f67v2 that I interpret the diagram on this folio as a depiction of tides and of the influence of the Moon and the Sun on them, though I still had a few unresolved questions. Recently, it occurred to me that the left side of the diagram may represent daily influence on moisture, while the right side may represent seasonal influence.
More specifically, the Sun affects moisture through evaporation: throughout the day (morning, noon, evening) and throughout the four seasons of the year. In this reading, the upper-left mini-diagram with three dots would indicate the daily cycle, while the lower-right one would represent the annual cycle, beginning with spring (childhood) and ending with winter (old age).
The Moon, in turn, would be responsible for two tides and two ebbs each day (the lower-left diagram), as well as for two tides and two ebbs occurring on a seasonal scale (the upper-right diagram). In the case of the Moon, these “seasons” correspond to its four phases: new moon, first quarter, full moon, and third quarter.
