Well, I think that it is wrong and misleading to look for meanings of any VMS symbols in other symbol sets, like the Greek or Latin alphabet.
Centuries of attempts to find parallels between the Voynichese alphabet and other alphabets have failed. We must accept the fact that the Author created the alphabet from scratch, without influence from any traditional symbol set. Like the Shavian alphabet, Hangul, of the Georgian alphabet. The strokes of Voynichese glyphs may resemble those of some Latin handwriting, but only to the extent that the strokes of Hangul resemble those of Chinese; and in both cases the similarity ends there, and leads nowhere.
Thus there is no reason to expect that the special signs in the 4x17 sequence, or of any of the other sequences, have anything to do with similar signs in other symbol sets. Voynichese v is not Greek Lambda, nor Latin V upside-down, nor the logician's "and", nor the circumflex of French, or whatever. It is an arbitrary symbol that the Author chose to represent something that we still cannot guess. And ditto for x, and the other weirdos in that sequence...
