Yes, val8en = valtzen = valzen = falzen (=modern german) (and even paltzn (written in Bavarian, where the v should actually be a p, as I am increasingly assuming) can definitely be interpreted as ‘fold’. I actually think this explanation makes a lot of sense.

P.S. Very good Video. And I'm just glad I posted my theory that the VMS could be full of charms and spells before you uploaded the video  .
