Splitting word across lines

Thinking about how the Voynich was written, and knowing that the illustrations were at least roughly sketched before the text, I was surprised by how well the words fit between parts of the drawings. This makes me suspect that some words must necessarily be split by the illustrations, yet there don’t seem to be any word-splitting marks.

So it could be that many lines also split words without us knowing. Has anyone studied this case? Could it affect metrics like entropy?
