Words In Spider Diagram?
#8
Hi, Klingmann:

Welcome to the forum.  I think that if you dig around you will find the word structure is the part of the manuscript that has been most thoroughly covered with diagrams such as what you are attempting -- but it is a good way to become much more conversant about the issues facing aligning the text with either a known language or as a set of "sounds" of an unknown one.

Here beyond Stofli's grammar, linked by David above, are some other such diagrams and expanding discussion that could be of interest:

Rene Zandbergen's site summarizes work by Tiltman, Roe, Firth, Stolfi, and himself.

Nick Pelling's blog summarizes work by Palmer and Neal.

Marco Ponzi's blog reworks and summarizes work by Stolfi and Smith.

Good luck!
