It was oneof the first pics that came up when I googled fan palm. This is Washingtonia robusta, a species unlikely to be in the VM, though certain botanists would happily disagree.
It often happens that young plants show a better similarity with VM drawings than adult ones. Like part of the VM was drawn in some kind of tree farm. For example, look at the stem of young Washingtonia:
